80 New Street

Wi-Fi would be a great addition to the cottage but in all other aspects we were very happy.

Our host checked in to ensure we had everything needed and the place was very cozy. We would stay again and recommend to others.

Had a lovely stay in Lismore, lovely homely cottage just a short stroll from the town centre and castle.

Lovely safe garden for our dog. Great place to stay

Hi Orla, enjoyed it a lot, just as last time!

And I think, Thomas and I are a bit like Covid: We keep coming back! And SORRY: No vaccination will help you! ;)) Kind regards from Germany Lothar and Thomas

as always we really enjoyed our stay in no 80 with all facilities and a beautiful garden enjoying the tranquility of lismore

Great job!

The glorious weather meant we were able to both enjoy the pretty cottage garden and the delights of Lismore castle.

Orla had everything we needed and we felt thoroughly relaxed after our weekend stay

Lovely cottage.

Perfect location for us. Very convenient for the village and visiting relatives. Orla was in contact often and ensured us we could contact her with any problems which there were none. We found it warm on our arrival as the heating had been put on for us. Very well equipped kitchen. Plenty of bedding and towels. Will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you Orla.

Our 4 th stay in 80 new street it’s a wonderful friendly location and we were looked after very well Lovely welcoming hosts always ready to see to our needs if necessary A lovely location to relax read walk etc or travel around We’ll be back

An information booklet would be great re appliances.

Couldn’t get hot water in kitchen or turn on radiator in bathroom. Beds were very comfy and we enjoyed our visit

Suggest some outdoor furniture and wifi

This is a beautiful cottage, really charming- kitchen & living room really well equipped and comfortable, plenty seating area, outdoor area brilliant if weather suitable to sit out in and enjoy.

Feels really safe which is wonderful. Beds and mattresses very comfortable- which is everything!! Had beautiful carrot cake left for us on arrival by host Orla- such a kind and thought full touch and gesture. If there was to be one thing I'd " in a critically nice way say" - the power in the shower is weak, hard to wash long hair! Would however recommend this property -, overall excellent - have stayed in properties over the past 10 years throughout Ireland and this is up at the Top- enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful time at the cottage beautiful in side and beautiful gardens definitely will be back.

Excellent cottage, would highly recommend, very comfortable, warm and cosy, lovely garden at the rear.

My husband and I stayed at cottage for a week.

My husband is American and I'm irish and Orla did an amazing job of explaining the history of Lismore , the cottage ( built in 1809) and its original inhabitants and how the irish people lived back in the day and how the cottage dwellers would have been working for the castle owners ( she remembers her history better than I ,lol!) The bedrooms were more spacious than than we expected, the kitchen was well stocked with teas, coffee, all condiments, plenty pots and pans and even a lovely tea set , so that when my elderly mom came for a sleepover , we could share a traditional pot of tea which made my mother feel very much at home ! The garden has a little she shed at the end of the traditional garden, that had beautifull roses, pansies and a traditional irish very old wood stove /oven for decorative purposes only. We throughly enjoyed walking to the little stores to buy our groceries for dinner. Everything is within a 5 min walk of the cottage !!! Their are horse ,cows ,sheep ,rivers within traditional stone bridges within a 15 mins drive radius of the cottage which was delightfull and the grass is lush and green, there are rolling hills, wher you will see sheep, horse and cows grazing which we saw every day driving to and from my mom's care facility. We will definitely be back!

Very nice comfortable cottage had a lovely time, it was very nice to be able to relax in the very secure garden which was perfect for our busy dog .

The best holiday let we've ever had for our needs.

Lovely house with an enclosed garden perfect for dogs.

Neighbourhood is safe and friendly people. Highly recommended

Fantastic location & beautiful garden.

Comfortable & very relaxing cottage. Settled in very quickly. Would definitely recommend & stay again. Only improvement would be more hanging space for clothes, coats & towels! Apart from that perfect & great host Thankyou.

We had a very pleasant stay in Lismore.

Orla went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and the house was really well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches. It's beautifully decorated and maintained inside and out. The enclosed garden and layout worked very well for our dog too. Many thanks!

The famous luck of the Irish !

This time it even worked for two Germans when choosing the cottage in New Street ! Thanks Orla! We'll be back !

A beautiful cottage, equipped with everything you could need.

The garden was lovely and secure, this was important to me as we had our dog with us. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Great location, cottage was brilliant for holiday with our dog, comfortable and great safe enclosed garden.

Comfortable and well equipped.

Great place, well located. Ideal place to stay for a few days. Highly recommended.

Really lovely cottage.

Light, airy, comfortable, and has a fantastic garden. Orla was very hospitable, and easy to contact. It was very close to town, and within walking distance of all the local interesting sites. The little touches made all the difference to our stay, and we will definitely be back for our next stay in the area!

Lovely, clean and cosy home.

Beautiful garden. Friendly host. Close to everything.

We had a lovely week staying in the New Street Cottage.

Orla could not do more to make us feel welcome. The main room is so full of light and very warm, even in winter. All facilities were made available to us and the double bed was really comfy. The garden was perfect for our collie to play in. Lismore is so central to many towns that we were spoiled for choice. We would certainly recommend this as a great pet-friendly holiday home.

A wonderful place to stay in Lismore.

Very comfortable and with a most helpful and kind landlady.

We really enjoyed our week stay at this cottage,Orla (host) was extremely helpful and at hand if we needed anything.

The location was excellent, situated on a quiet road but within a short walk to the village centre. We took our dog and the cottage had a lovely enclosed garden, which was ideal for her. The beds were very comfortable and the cottage was very clean and tidy and had all facilities that we needed. The only small negative was that the shower was lacking in power, larger bath towels would have been preferable, this however didn’t spoil our stay. In summary we had a very enjoyable holiday and would definitely recommend this cottage and would stay again if we visit this part of Ireland in the future.

80 New Street is exactly as you see in the photos only better.

A beautiful bright cottage with everything you need and a fantastic cottage garden to sit in and chill. A short walk into the centre where we used the local pub and shop regularly so what more do you need. It’s a great location for touring too. Orla the owner was very friendly and kept in touch to make sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend 80 New Street.

This is a delightful cottage.

It has everything you could possibly need during your stay and the beauty of the garden is exceptional. We would highly recommend.

We spent a very happy time in this lovely cottage.

It has been tastefully modernised and has a lovely light-filled kitchen/living-room which leads out to a delightful garden. We couldn't have imagined that a house that is close to the shops and the town could be so quiet. We hope many other families will enjoy it as much as we did as everything was provided and gave the impression of an owner who really want her guests to find it easy to make themselves at home in her pleasant house.

This is a lovely comfortable cottage with a very pretty garden where we sat in the sunshine for breakfast.

The open plan living room/kitchen is spacious and well furnished and everything you can need is provided. It looks onto the garden, which is lit in the evening. The beds were comfortable. Although there is no private parking the road is quiet and we never had a problem parking right outside the door. It's in an ideal position just a short walk to the shops, bars, castle and walks along the river. The owner contacted us to check everything was ok, which we thought was nice of her. We have no negatives. Lismore is a very pleasant village and the cottage is pretty perfect.

Very happy with our stayi

We had a lovely time in Lismore.

The host Orla was really helpful and friendly. The house was perfectly clean and had everything we needed in a great location and the beds were really comfortable. It was lovely and quiet and I would highly recommend as a home away from home Ed and Callum

Great place to stay, near enough to town to walk in for meal and a drink ,but far enough out to have peace and quite, which was good ,nice garden to relax in as well , nice property to stay in , a lovely lady called oral was in touch by text just to make sure everything was ok for your stay and you had no problems, which was nice to know that she was only a call away if you did need anything, great place to stay ,would definitely stay there again,

Lovely place to stay, lovely cottage in a lovely part of the country.

Owner very helpful and accommodating. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

So very central in Lismore which is all important during the BVOF when attending several events.

The garden much appreciated by our dog.!! Lovely stay.

Super location, everything’s in walking distance but very quiet at night.

we enjoyed exploring the history of lismore and the many walks we were also impressed with the sense of community and cleaniness of the town which the tidy towns seem to play a huge part we would certaintly want to pay another visit at some time

Lovely little cottage situated in quiet part of Lismore within walking distance of all amenities.

Excellently equipped with all mod cons. Spotless through out and even in these difficult times our host Orla was friendly, welcoming and helpful. You could not go wrong by booking here.

Gorgeous place and plenty to see if

Quality of the property was super and location in the town meant we could walk everywhere.

Orla was very accommodating and we were made most welcome on arrival with the comfort of all the little items which made the stay a real break. The touches such as Tea & Coffee/ Wood for stove etc are really those little extras that help you settle in immediately. The garden is a little haven and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the sunshine in October, how special.

This is always a brilliant place to stay, and Lismore is a beautiful and friendly town.

There is so much to see and do within a short distance too!

We stayed here for 3 weeks in May.

The cottage is delightfully furnished, very clean and comfortable and contains everything you need to make yourself at home. Orla was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. There are lovely walks through the town and near the castle and the proximity to other other towns such as Dungarvan, Cobh and Cork is a plus. We would come back to this lovely cottage in a heartbeat!

80 New Street was beautifully presented, everything you could want in a holiday cottage.

The location was ideal for the trips we had planned during our stay. Lismore was a lovely place, everyone we met was friendly. Orla met us at the cottage & was a wealth of information about Lismore & the surrounding area's. We had a great week in Ireland, visiting lots of beautiful places, the cottage was always cosy & welcoming to come back to. We would recommend 80 New Street to our family & friends

Orla and Michael have done an outstanding job on updating an 1810 heritage cottage and keeping it's charm.

They seem to have thought of everything to make our week long stay relaxing and enjoyable. The town of Lismore was also so charming and enjoyable and made a great start off place for side trips to Waterford, Cork, Cohb, Tipperary, Kinsale and many more. Orla and Michael were very friendly and with lots of information on what to see and where to go. Trad music at the Classroom Pub was a hoot and we sang and danced with their son. Wonderful memories for a lifetime. It was the best part of my sisters and I 18 day visit to Ireland.

the extremely warm welcome and attention to our details during our stay.

having experienced indifference in the past ,it was refreshing and made our holiday so pleasant and relaxed.

This time my wife and I were on travel to Lismore without a car.

Honestly we worried about transportation. If we want to move for sightseeings, what to do. But it's not necessary worried about that. There is a local bus service around Lismore so no problem at al. We could reach Cork, Waterford, Wexford ,Kilkenny and Dublin. The owner Orla and Jim are very nice people. They are very kind and friendly. When we checked in ,they recommended us to use many kinds of commodities they prepared which needed for daily life. It was very helpful. The property itself was very comfortable, clean and shiny. We had sun shinning all day long. The village Lismore is very nice ,tidy and has many beautiful places to go. We recommend everyone to visit there.

This is a beautifully appointed cottage in a beautiful village.

Everything you could need. Pity the weather wasn't better!

Second stay here and still wonderful!

The cottage is centrally located in a quiet part of the town and only minutes from local pubs and restaurants.

Lismore is a beautiful small town. Plenty to see and do for everyone. Lismore Heritage Centre, Lismore canal is a lovely peaceful picnic area. St Carthage’s Catherdral a fascinating place. Lismore Castle garden closed 14th October for the season. Walking, angling and golfing.

80 New Street is a clean, comfortable cottage that is ideal as a base to see Waterford and surrounding area.

Orla Russell is a friendly owner who is approachable when on holiday.

We are just back from a fantastic week at the cottage.

Orla was very welcoming and did all she could to make us comfortable. Lismore is a lovely historical place with its own treasures and is a great base to see Ireland. Would stay again.

Orla the person who met us and showed us around the cottage could not have been more helpful.

The cottage itself was perfect - clean, comfortable and most charming!

The owner met us with a warm welcome and made sure that we were settled.

Cashel, Cahir, Kilkenny, the Ring of Hook, Kinsale and Jameson Distillery at Midleton were all within striking distance. We also drove to Killarney and the Ring of Kerry, but this was a much bigger day (okay if you are used to Australian driving distances). Lismore itself is beautiful, with lots of things to do and see. 80 New Street was lovely to come home to each evening after a day of touring. We felt very comfortable - a home from home.

This cottage is delghtful, very comfortable and clean.

It has all that is needed for a home away from home, except for a mirror in the bedroom. Lismore is a very interesting town, very historical with a magnificent castle. However, it does lack a variety of eateries. During the winter months there is little choice but those that are there are good. The owner and family are lovely people and allowed us to use their own house to Skype our family in New Zealand on Christmas Eve as there is no wifi in the cottage (as yet). We would definitely return.

Lismore is a lovely town to visit and I would highly recommend this holiday cottage.

Absolutely beautiful cottage with excellent facilities, exceptionally clean, right on the edge of the village, made to feel very welcome, very homely, would stay again, very highly recommended, excellent value for money
