Margaret “We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house - 13 of us in total and plenty of room for everyone.”
The gardens are lovely and we had frequent visits from hares! The bedrooms are spotlessly clean and beautifully presented and the kitchen and dining room had ample space. We found the laundry room really useful! Ireland is just beautiful and the people so friendly and helpful. This is an ideal touring base - we enjoyed days out to the Aran Islands, Galway City, the Cliffs of Moher and also local walks on the Burren and of course to Monks restaurant in the village and the local pub !
- Margaret, May 2023Ann “Orchard House was outstanding and perfect for our extended Family’s Easter break.”
We were all very satisfied with the attention to detail provided and could not have asked for more. The property had everything we could have possibly needed for our group of 10 adults and 4 children under 7. The bedrooms were all superb and we liked that some king sized double rooms had an additional single bed which we were able to use for the children. We also liked that all the rooms were en suite with plenty of baths as well as showers. The kitchen also provided everything we needed for preparing meals e.g. measuring scales , sieves etc. We have no complaints at all ; thank you so much for enabling us to have a superb stay in Ballyvaughan which we won’t forget.
- Ann, April 2023Bill “This was just the perfect place for the family gathering I had planned.”
The location is superb, with so many visitor attractions only a short drive away. The house itself is very well appointed with no shortage of equipment or space for a large group to just relax and enjoy their time together. Karen was fabulous to deal with, I would definitely consider coming back here again and have no hesitation in recommending Orchard House for anyone considering a holiday in this incredibly beautiful part of the Wild Atlantic Way region of Ireland.
- Bill, November 2022Colin “Good property; great location; plenty of room & everything we needed.”

Well laid out and the rooms are perfectly organised. The big back garden is a great safe place for kids to play. Well situated outside the village. Definitely recommend it for a big family holiday.
- Maria, November 2021Mairead “Such a spacious and comfortable house for a large group.”
The owner was also so considerate and friendly. The kitchen is perfect for cooking large meals and the dining room offers plenty of space for dining. Really enjoyed our stay here.

- Ursula, March 2018Laura “We stayed in Orchard House for New year and can't say enough about it.”
3 families, 15 in total and had plenty of space. The living area plus the kitchen were extra large and then with the dining room we all had loads of room for eating, resting and playing games! The smart tv was great for the kids to watch their Netflix. The bedrooms were all beautifully laid out, with ensuites and large wardrobes. The garden was a good size and an added bonus. The garage had all the amenities to wash and dry clothes and also a few buckets and spades to borrow for the beach which is less than 5 minutes away. We had one issue with the heating and the owner of the house was easily contacted to sort same. The only thing is having no communal bathroom but with 7 ensuites there is no shortage either. Would recommend to anyone, great location, beautiful house. Overall excellent value for money.
- Laura, December 2017Maureen “The house was amazing in a beautiful part of Ireland.”
Would recommend it to friends.
- Maureen, December 2017Audrey “The pictures on the website didn't do the place justice, there wasn't even a photo of the magnificent staircase!”
It was incredible. My only criticism is that you can't book mid-week to midweek.

- James, July 2016Ronnie “We had a fantastic holiday in Orchard House.”
The house, setting and hospitality of the owners was exceptional. We were a party of 13, ranging in age from 73 to a year and a half. The house is spacious and the sound proofing brilliant - important when you have three children under two and a half. The chickens in the garden and cows going for milking each day really added to the experience.

We were stunned by the condition and setting of the property. The host was exceptional. Over all a 10 out of ten and thank you for making our holiday so wonderful!

- Ann, February 2016Grainne “We had the most amazing time in Orchard House.”
We were returning to Ireland for Christmas so rented this massive house so that all our family could come visit and stay comfortably. My favourite things: The house is really well-laid out. ALL the rooms have en-suites so there were no arguments over who got the best. The kitchen is a joy to cook in, loads of space, really well stocked (they even provided a mixer and baking equipment on request) and the ever changing view of the Burren from the big windows make it a really attractive room to hang out in. Although very big, the house was easily heated. Very short stroll in to town. Beautifully decorated and the owners were so welcoming. Highly recommend this house, might even go back ourselves next year!! perfect for a big family gathering or special occasion.
- Grainne, December 2015Jane “Excellent cottage.”
As a family of 16 it Suited our needs perfectly. The large kitchen and dining room enabled us to have big family dinners and the two living rooms let the adults and kids have their own space. All the bedrooms were lovely and a similar standard- so no arguing over the best room. Perfect host, perfect house, perfect holiday!
