About the location

QUILTY, COUNTY CLARE

Miltown Malbay 3.6 miles; Spanish Point 2.8 miles; Lahinch 11 miles.

Quilty is an attractive seaside resort with local charm, providing a seafood restaurant, a pub, a supermarket and sea fishing. The nearby pretty town of Miltown Malbay is located close to the Atlantic coast in County Clare, and is only an hour from Shannon Airport. Famed for its traditional Irish music, it is home to the Willie Clancy music festival, which is held in July, however visitors will find fabulous live music in many pubs and bars whatever the time of year. Miltown Malbay is close to some excellent beach resorts including Spanish Point and Doonbeg, both of which are well worth a visit for their relaxed vibe and great surf. The Burren National Park to the north of the town is a mecca for walkers and nature lovers with its unique geological landscapes and rich colourful wildflowers, and to the south you will find the striking 'Cliffs of Moher', which rise majestically out of the ocean and are best appreciated from one of many boat trips departing nearby.
