“We stayed is this property for a month with our two young children and it was perfect.”

We could easily take them down to the strand to play in the water and there was a lovely pub at the pier just a mile away. It was for part of my maternity leave and it was a wonderful place for our family to bond and see all the beautiful sights in Kerry.

The property

Enjoying panoramic views of the sea and country in Loughaunacreen in Tuosist, County Kerry is this large, detached holiday home of Inḃear Scéine.

Making for a fabulous base for an 8 person break in this gorgeous setting, Inḃear Scéine is not only a dwelling boasting style throughout but enjoys easy access to the sea, outdoor spaces and nearby, picturesque settlements.

When arriving at the property, you will be taken in by its magnificent exterior, along with convenient off-road parking for eight vehicles.

Head inside to discover a beautifully decorated open-plan living space, where an elegant yet practical kitchen makes for a budding chef’s haven, courtesy of its stylish, monochromatic units which include an array of marvellous appliances.

When a delectable meal has been fixed up in the kitchen, take it down the steps to the wooden dining table and enjoy it over a bottle of wine whilst you catch up on the day’s adventures.

After dinner, relish a post-meal sit-down at the adjacent sitting area which is perfectly positioned in front of a floor-length window that frames those wonderful coastal views.

The space offers another sitting area where ample entertainments can be found, including a large bookshelf with many books to choose from, an electric piano and a TV including Netflix and a selection of DVDs; the space also enjoys the flames of an open fire, making for a great spot for some quality time with your loved ones.

Before heading to bed, continue with your stress-free day by availing of the handy washing machine and dryer located in the utility room.

Choose one of four exquisitely furnished, double bedrooms to rest in, all with stylish colour schemes, three of these have an ensuite shower room.

Three of the bedrooms are located downstairs and one upstairs.

Also downstairs is the large family bathroom, where relaxing soaks can be relished in the bath with shower over.

On sunny days, sit out on the patio in the front garden and soak up the idyllic panorama whilst the kids play on the lawn.

The property benefits from being a stone’s throw away from Loughaunacreen Beach, whilst also being within reach of the Cloonee and Inchiquin Loughs, the renowned Derreen Garden, Uragh Wood and Gleninchaquin Park; after an outing at one of these marvellous locations, end the day with a pint at Helen’s Bar at nearby Killmackillogue Pier.

To find your amenities resting in one handy setting, venture a short way to Tuosist post office and newsagent; why not partake in Alpaca Trekking with the village’s local company?

Kenmare can be reached via a scenic drive, where there is so much to do, whether that be water sports at Kenmare Bay, golfing at the Kenmare 18 hole golf club or enjoying Kenmare’s gourmet restaurants; there is something for everyone at this town.

The wider area is home to so much more to see, including the trails of Beira Way and the Healy Pass, and the views of Glenbeg Lough and the Cuas Pier Caves.

A one-hour coastal drive to the westerly tip of the Beara peninsula brings breathtaking scenery and an opportunity to ride on the cable car to Dursey Island.

A truly marvellous stay awaits at Inḃear Scéine.
