Roy “Firstly I'm sorry because I wrote a review for Achill View thinking I was reviewing Upper Haven.”
Sorry! All I can say is that both cottages were wonderful - the comment about heating/hot water instructions was meant for Upper Haven. We recommend both 100% - they were both superb - we will go back.
- Roy, April 2023Roy and Jan Thank you so much for the great review and also for leaving the house so squeaky clean..you can come back anytime..Cathy. Property Owner

it had the most spectacular view and was lovely watching the sun set in the evening. Our hosts Paul and Cathy where very friendly and helpful. There is so much to see and do on the berra peninsula we will definitely be back to upper Haven for another break and would recommend without hesitation to everyone to go and stay at Upper Haven and experience the beauty and relaxation that it has to offer.

The Beara peninsula is wonderful but you need to have a decent car to go on the smaller roads

The owner has thought of everything. View will take your breath away.
- Lisa, June 2022Linda “Our whole family had a wonderful holiday in Upper Haven, the photos of the house and of the views do not do justice to this lovely home in such an amazing location.”
Cathy, Paul and their daughter Fiona couldn't have been more helpful, especially helping us find a trustworthy mechanic when we had car trouble. We hope to return soon with my elderly parents for another relaxing stay.
- Linda, March 2022Bernice “A brilliant, fantastic holiday.”
This beautiful house is a home away from home. It has everything you need for a family holiday, and the views are simply amazing, surrounded by the amazing changing colours of Autumn, really nice friendly neighbours and the locals are so kind and helpful. A great place for some amazing walks and the sunsets were out of this world. We would definitely stay here again.
- Bernice, October 2021John “Fantastic house, spacious and fully equipped.”
Great location, friendly neighbours. Felt very relaxed and comfortable there. Kids loved all the books, games available for the evenings and the binoculars to look at the stunning views. Highly recommend.
- John, July 2021Richard “We booked early in the year and fortunetly had 2 full weeks on the Beara Peninsular.”
The cottage was more than adequate with 4 bedrooms and 2 baths with showers. Cathy snd her husband were extremly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. With such a roomy house and beautiful view of Kenmare Bay and convenient access to Castletownbere we can recommend Upper Haven cottage to anyone wishing to explore the West Cork and Kerry area, from Bantry to Kenmare in quiet comfort. Thanks to the Hartnetts. Richard & Denise H.
