    “Beautiful views from the Cottage, and a real sun trap, and a very comfortable stay, plus the forest on your door step.”

    There are plenty of great beeches, around but you do need a car to get to them, same with bars and places to eat out. The owner Marie was very friendly and helpful, met us in Creeslough to show us the route to the cottage, and gave us a good run through of how to operate heating, cooker etc. We all enjoyed the stay, and would recommend this beautiful spot, and hopfully return at some point in the future.

A delightful bungalow situated in the countryside 1.5 miles from the village of Creeslough in County Donegal.

This well-furnished cottage is ideal for families or a group of friends looking to holiday together and explore the surrounding area, with the town of Letterkenny being within easy reach.

The cottage offers plenty of space and is set all on the ground floor.

There are three comfortable bedrooms together with an open plan living area offering a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting area with solid fuel stove.

This sociable area is perfect for keeping everyone together as the chef amongst you prepares a lovely meal.

After dinner you can retire to the second sitting room which comes complete with an open fire, ideal for relaxing together and discussing the plans for the next day’s adventures.

Alternatively if you wish to escape with a good book head into the conservatory and curl up for a read.

There are walks and cycle rides to be enjoyed in the local countryside and along the coast.

The nearby village of Creeslough will supply your essential needs, or a little further afield the town of Letterkenny offers a wide range of shops and restaurants for you to sample.

If surfing is more your thing then head for the Marble Hill Beach a popular surfing location all year round.

A little further afield you can drive along the famous Wild Atlantic Way, or visit Dunfanaghy or Portnablagh, or even enjoy a quick round of golf.

Dunfanaghy 6 miles;

The town of Creeslough in County Donegal is situated within easy reach of the wonderful Glenveagh National Park. The village is within easy access of Letterkenny, which has a museum and there's plenty of shops, pubs and places to eat. Whilst making Creeslough your base make sure that you explore as much of Glenveagh National Park as you can. A number of walks can be enjoyed in the park, after which partake in a guided tour of the castle, or enjoy tea and cakes in the tea room, whilst to the northern edge of Lough Beagh is a visitor centre housing a restaurant. There are a number of hills in the area, which once you’ve climbed or walked up boast superb views of the Atlantic Ocean from the top, and there’s also rivers, loughs, historical and religious sites in abundance throughout this part of County Donegal. Also in the area are a variety of beaches, whilst further afield is Malin Head, the most northerly point in Ireland, and across the border is the city of Derry. A convenient base for exploring all that Donegal has to offer.
