The property

Enjoying a beautiful position overlooking the stunning County Donegal countryside is this large detached property, Crolly Home.

Perched just outside the centre of the village of Crolly, this spacious house presents a wondrous location for a family getaway, sleeping up to ten guests in four bedrooms.

Admire your peaceful surroundings after parking on the drive and head inside to discover a traditional style in the form of hardwood floors and classic furnishings, mixed with lofty ceilings and large feature windows.

Come together in the spacious kitchen/diner for a family feast atop the dark wood dining table, while the chefs of the group make use of the handy kitchen appliances within the timber fitted units, you can crack open a bottle of wine and relish the company of loved ones.

Relax upon the leather sofas in the beautiful sitting room which features amazing, large feature windows, so you can simply admire the views here, pick up a book from the shelf or wind down watching TV, all the while kept warm by the flames in the traditional woodburning stove.

From here step out onto the pretty decked area through the glass doors and take a seat on the furniture, soaking up the scenery on a bright day as you tuck into your breakfast or sip your first coffee of the day, with a large lawn space for children to enjoy too.

A handy utility room provides you with all your laundry needs, perfect for longer stays, hosting a washing machine and a tumble dryer in here, with a cloakroom on the ground floor too.

Discover a ground-floor king-size bedroom, great for the older generation of your family get-together, complete with an en-suite shower room for further convenience and a walk-in wardrobe.

Head up the open-tread timber staircase to find a lovely family room which has a double bed and a single bed, a further family room and finally a twin, served by the family bathroom which has both a bath and a walk-in shower.

This wonderful property is just a short distance from the local amenities of Crolly, with a local shop, petrol station, and a few pubs and bars to visit too, everything you need is stone's throw away, with the village itself home to the ancient Crolly Stone, thought to be the largest boulder in Ireland dating back to the Ice Age, as well as Crolly River, known for its excellent fishing.

Head to Dunlewey Lough for plenty of different activities to enjoy, with tours of the lake available taking you past the Guinness estate and train rides for those who want to stay on dry land, offering a relaxing way to take in the scenery.

Head out horse riding with the Wild Atlantic Equestrian Centre based at Dunlewey Lough, experience Dunlewey Kayaking, or take in the lake scenery from a height by embarking on a trek up the tallest peak in County Donegal, Errigal.

The Glenveagh National Park is teeming with exciting things to do including visiting Glenveagh Castle which rests on the edge of Lough Veagh, built in the 1800s, you can now visit the beautiful gardens all-year-round.

Not far from here is Gartan Lough, home to Gartan Adventure Centre where all of kayaking, sailing, surfing, windsurfing and rock climbing are on offer, you're sure to enjoy some memorable holiday moments!

Over in Letterkenny you can visit the fantastic Tropical Zoo, a great family day out for all ages, or head west to the coast and delight in some scenic golf at Gweedore Golf Club or walk along Bunbeg Beach with views of Errigal in the distance.
