“There was no hot water or heating at the property.”

I brought it to owner's attention when I tried to put heating on. He said he relied upon previous occupants to tell him that facilities were working, therefore they should be working for me. Most people rely on boiler servicing. The property had an induction hob - nevertheless the property came with saucepans that do not work on an induction hob. For the saucepans that did work, there was no wooden spoon or colander to use with them, so pretty much, all the saucepans were useless. The back button on the TV remote was broken, so you had to exit the apps and go back in if you wanted to flick onto the next episode. One electric socket was hanging off the wall. For a massive open lounge/dining/kitchen, the area had one small lamp in the corner - useless for reading. Kitchen had many bare cupboards - that's a clue that the kitchen was poorly stocked with utensils. Cutlery drawer was hidden inside another drawer - owner told me there was written instructions on how to find it - which was placed in a corner of the living area underneath a pile of leaflets. If you need to provide written instructions to find a cutlery drawer, you've already lost the argument.
