    “We had a superb week at Blue Stack House.”

    The property is very remote, as advertised, but surrounded by spectacular views, with beautiful walks accessible from the doorstep. A perfect location for a quiet getaway. The owner is very friendly, meeting us on arrival and answering any questions we had about the property. Just a couple of things which would make a big difference - the 2 single mattresses are very uncomfortable, with springs coming out. The first night the 2 using them got very little sleep. The owner is very friendly, meeting us on arrival and answering any questions we had about the property. Just a couple of things which would make a big difference - the 2 single mattresses are very uncomfortable, with springs coming out. The first night the 2 using them got very little sleep. We had friends nearby and were able to borrow 2 thin air mattresses which we put on top and they made a huge difference. The double bed mattresses were excellent. Secondly, the addition of a couple of dining room chairs to make the table fit the number of occupants and the purchase of a sofa or more comfortable chair for the sunroom to take advantage of the beautiful views from that room would make the property even more appealing. We would definitely re-book in the future

The bustling market town of Donegal Town is situated in the south of the county at the point where the River Eske flows into Donegal Bay. Rich in history, the town was founded as a result of the 17th century Ulster Plantation planned around the Donegal Diamond, and is home to Donegal Castle and Murvagh Beach. The area is fantastic for fishing, with numerous suitable rivers and lakes available. For golfers, Donegal Golf Club and Murvagh Links Course provide a great game against a stunning backdrop. The dramatic sandy beach at Rossnowlagh is backed by wonderful cliff views of Slieve League, and is framed by the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, making a wonderful day out.
