    “A very cosy and comfortable cottage in a rural surrounding.”

    The sheep were almost walking in our garden, very nice. The place was well accomodated. We were surprised to find a basket filled with cookies, chips, bread, coffee and tea. We gelt welcome and had a good stay. The national park, which was beautiful, was not far away. We also made a trip with the ferry from Galway to Inishmore. After that we passed by the Moher cliffs. Impressive to see from the waterside. We can recommand this cottage!

The traditional village of Oughterard is found in the west of Ireland on the shores of Lough Corrib, at the start of the Connemara Mountain range and close to the famous Western Way. Home to the Oughterard 18-hole championship golf course, Derroura Mountain Bike Trail and Aughnanure Castle, there are lots of things to see and do, and located next to Lough Corrib, Oughterard is great for lovers of fishing. Just a short drive away in Roscahil is the pretty Brigit's Garden; with four main gardens and places to play, sit and relax, this is a great day out for all the family.
