Hi Stephen Thanks for your comments which I would like to take the opportunity to respond to. Taking each of them in turn: 1. Bath: The upstairs bathroom is a WC only. A renovation is planned to add another shower in the upstairs bathroom. In the meantime, the description of the house will be updated to make this clearer. 2. & 3. Locks: The house is regularly rented by families with children who may accidently lock themselves in. As we have prior experience of this happening and being left with the cost of repair due to damage caused by the incident, there are intentionally no locks on the bathroom doors. 4. Dishwasher: This was a genuine mistake, please accept our apologies for this omission. 5. Cleanliness: No evidence or examples have been provided so it’s difficult to response to the vague allegation. We would note that cleanliness has not been identified as an issue by any other guests of Tonakilla House. 6. Heating: Ireland is in the midst of a fuel shortage and crisis. We had a conversation with Stephen and another male guest as regards the best time sequences for their convenience during their stay. As part of this conversation they stated that there was no requirement for heating during the day as they would be out and about sightseeing etc., so I am at a loss as to how the agreed times were insufficient. Further I understood no one would be using the upstairs rooms during this booking. 7. Curtains: This is a very strange complaint and difficult to understand. 8. Condensation: Yes, the weather was very cold with low temperatures for a few days during the course of their stay. 9. No mirrors in bedrooms: There are 3 mirrors in the house – one in each bathroom and a full-length mirror attached to stairwell. We will consider this feedback as part of our efforts to continually refresh the house and facilities which guests require. Kind Regards Michael Patrick Quirke 13/04/2026 Property Owner
