The property

Abina’s is a welcoming holiday home in the heart of Kenmare, County Kerry.

Just a minute's walk from the town's restaurants, traditional pubs, cafés and shops, it offers an exceptional town-centre location while still enjoying a peaceful setting on a quiet street.

Perfect for families and friends, Abina’s provides an ideal base for exploring Kenmare, the Ring of Kerry, the Beara Peninsula and Killarney National Park.

Park up roadside and take a moment to enjoy the lovely view of the town from the exterior, before heading towards the entrance and climbing two steps up into the property.

Step inside to find a tiled hallway, freshly presented and setting the tone for the stay ahead.

From here, move into the sitting room, where two sofas invite you to settle into a spacious, relaxing and homely setting, with the Smart TV ready for easy evenings together.

When it is time to gather over food, wander through to the kitchen and dining room, where wood-effect flooring runs underfoot and a table with seating for six creates a sociable spot for breakfast before a day out or supper at the end of it.

Artwork on the walls and an old-style pass-through hatch connecting through to the sitting room give this space an easy sense of character, while the nearby cloakroom adds convenience.

Here, you can cook with ease, stack the dishwasher after meals, and keep walking gear fresh with the washing machine and clothes airer on hand.

A door from the kitchen leads outside, making it easy to carry a morning coffee or evening drink into the garden.

Take the wooden stairs up to the first floor, where wood-effect laminate flooring continues across the landing and bedrooms.

The shower room sits to the rear, offering a walk-in shower and a touch mirror, along with a pleasant outlook towards the rear garden as you get ready for the day.

When night falls, choose from three inviting bedrooms, including a rear double overlooking the garden, a second double looking out to the front, and a twin room that works well for children or friends sharing.

Throughout, the house has been freshly decorated and thoughtfully restored, giving it a bright finish that suits its central town setting.

At the back of the house, the garden backs onto the beautiful River Finnihy and offers a spacious patio area, lawn and outdoor furniture, creating a peaceful setting for al fresco dining, a morning coffee or relaxing in the afternoon sunshine after a day exploring Kerry.

As the garden is not fully enclosed and has access towards the river, young children should be supervised at all times.

From the front door, Kenmare's award-winning restaurants, lively pubs, artisan shops and cafés are all just a short stroll away, allowing you to leave the car parked and enjoy everything the town has to offer on foot.

Beyond the doorstep, Kenmare itself is a joy to explore, whether you are wandering through Reenagross Woodland Park beneath its leafy canopy, pausing at the ancient Kenmare Stone Circle to take in a piece of the town’s past, or strolling through the colourful streets lined with independent shops, café tables and traditional pubs.

Head out to Killarney for a memorable day, where Killarney National Park opens up a landscape of lakes, woodland and mountain scenery, Muckross House and its gardens invite you to step through elegant rooms and sweeping grounds, and Torc Waterfall rewards a gentle walk with the sight and sound of water tumbling through the trees.

In Glengarriff, take the boat across to Garnish Island to wander among exotic planting and sheltered gardens, follow the trails through Glengarriff Nature Reserve where woodland paths and viewpoints draw you further in, or head out onto Bantry Bay to watch the shoreline unfold from the water.

Abina’s is ready for your next County Kerry adventure.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of €350.
