“Food for the Soul I very rarely write reviews in such detail, but our experience at Curradoon House was truly exceptional.”

We had, without question, the most wonderful holiday of our lives. We had, without question, the most wonderful holiday of our lives. As self-employed business owners with a particularly demanding lifestyle, we needed somewhere that would allow us to rest, recharge, and return to centre. We have travelled extensively around the world and stayed in many beautiful places, but Curradoon House stands out above them all. The house itself was not only warm, cosy, and immaculately presented, but it was also equipped with every possible comfort one could wish for. The beds and bedding were of an exceptionally high standard. I am not, by nature, a good sleeper, yet here I slept deeply and peacefully each night. I found myself waking early, full of energy, simply to sit out on the veranda with a cup of tea, watching the birds and gazing out at the mountains. I felt more rested and revitalised than I had done in many years. Although it is delightfully remote, it is by no means isolated. The setting offers a profound sense of peace and seclusion, while Miriam and Pat strike the perfect balance as hosts. They were there when needed, with nothing ever too much trouble, yet they were also incredibly respectful of our privacy. Their gentle presence and kindness contributed enormously to the sense of tranquillity and care that is so clearly held within the very walls of the house. One could genuinely feel that Curradoon House has been tended to with great love. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the warmth and generosity of spirit shown by both Miriam and Pat. They are amongst the most sincere and kind-hearted people we have had the pleasure to meet. My partner and I felt an immediate sense of belonging – as though we had come home. Our spirits felt nourished, and we left feeling deeply restored and full of life. We cannot recommend this special place highly enough, and we shall most certainly return, time and again, in the years to come.

How reviews work

Our review scores come directly from guests who have stayed with us and chosen to share their feedback.

After their stay, guests can leave a star rating and comments if they wish. The score you see (out of 5 stars) is the average of all the reviews we've received from those guests.
