A spectacular listed farmhouse resting in the townland of Ballintlea between the wonderful amenities of Dungarvan and Ardmore, Ballintlea makes a beautiful holiday base for families to spend quality time with one another on a relaxing retreat.

Surrounded by stunning countryside in a remote position, there's no better place to bring your canine companions on an escape to Ireland.

Pull up outside the property to find ample off-road parking and enter into the porch where you can kick off your shoes, stepping into the dining room where you can take a seat with a tasty beverage as you plan out a fun-filled itinerary.

Move through into the spacious kitchen, boasting an eclectic mix of contemporary and farmhouse to bring you a welcoming space to prepare all your meals, a good host of amenities scattered between here and the utility, where you can also find a stylish shower room, ideally placed for a refreshing rinse after a day of rambling.

End your evenings in one of two lovely social spaces; with both a sitting room boasting the original rustic open fire making a great spot for all the group to gather in front of the television, while the snug is home to a warming woodburning stove, creating a homely aura where you can wind down with a good book.

Take the stairs up to the first floor to find the three well-presented bedrooms, laid out as a master super-king-size along with a king-size and a twin room, which can be linked together via the adjoining door to make a family room, perfect for those travelling with little ones.

The first floor is also home to a contemporary shower room and a contrasting traditional bathroom, giving you all plenty of space to prepare for your days.

Soak up your glorious scenery from the enclosed lawned garden, with a vast space for your canine companions to play safely, before taking a stroll to explore the surrounding wonders; the immediate area of the property is wonderfully remote, with plenty of wildlife to watch.

Close by is a local beach and helvic head with its' beautiful harbour and seaweed baths.

The nearby historic harbour town of Dungarvan under ten miles away hosts even more outdoor wonder.

Dungarvan hosts all the essentials you could want from a self-catered stay, with harbourside cafés, pubs and restaurants to choose from for a celebratory meal, as well as a good selection of shops so you can pick up your own ingredients for a lovingly prepared meal back at the cottage with the assistance of the good range of appliances.

The town also provides opportunities for fishing, boating, bird watching and cycling, perfect for the avid adventure, while both hillwalking and hiking can be found in the nearby Comeragh Mountains & scenic Nire Valley, offering their own unique landscapes and plethora of picnic spots where you can create everlasting memories with your loved ones.

A lovely historic harbour town located around the 13th century King John’s Castle, a real haven for fishing, boating, bird watching, cycling and enthusiasts alike with hillwalking /hiking in the nearby Comeragh Mountains & scenic Nire Valley. Dungarvan really comes alive in summertime, with residents and visitors all indulging in their favourite water sports, or dining the evenings away in one of the harbourside cafes, pubs or restaurants. For beach lovers, there are plenty of long sandy beaches within easy driving distance, whilst nearby Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city, is a lively city with great shops, restaurants, theatres, pubs and nightlife. The city also houses The Waterford Museum of Treasures and the House of Waterford Crystal.
