“I’m just back from a 3 night stay at this lovely property (2 adults and 1 dog) and it certainly met and then exceeded our expectations!”

The property itself is a great size, well equipped and maintained, cosy and comfortable with an enormous mezzanine bedroom and a smaller bedroom on the ground floor. The property itself is a great size, well equipped and maintained, cosy and comfortable with an enormous mezzanine bedroom and a smaller bedroom on the ground floor. Situated in a quiet rural setting, surrounded by fields, but within walking distance of the nearest village with its three pubs, shop and café. The house is also close to access points to the Grand Canal Greenway, which makes for a lovely spot to walk and, as this stretch is either gravel or tarmac, it means that it can be enjoyed even if weather isn’t great. It is however, the small additional touches which make this so memorable. We were greeted on arrival by Noel who showed us around and we had been left a very welcome package of food including some beautiful home baked brown bread, butter, marmalade, milk and some dog treats – perfect to get you through your first evening and morning. We were then left a delicious apple cake later in the weekend! The outside fenced-in garden and deckling area is fantastic when you are travelling with a dog. It’s a shame that we didn’t get a chance to use it much, but sitting out there during the summer would be the perfect way to relax. We really had a lovely time at this beautiful property and will definitely be back – thank you! Sue
