    “Very comfortable house and a very nice owner.”

    We arrived late on a very cold evening and were met by the owner who had gone to the bother of putting on a lovely fire which was very much appreciated. The house is very well located for travelling to Killarney or Tralee.

The property

This glamorous detached cottage is located on the outskirts of Firies, County Kerry, a village oasis of calm mountain views and the famous Gap of Dunloe as a backdrop.

The lounge boasts elegant seating and a woodburning stove for added warmth, together with a radio and DVD player, perfect for a cosy night in.

There is a lovely kitchen, should you wish to gather for an evening meal at the dining table, which is set up for six people.

Three bedrooms are charmingly presented, with wardrobes and bedside tables, and the cottage also provides ground floor sleeping.

Two bedrooms are situated upstairs; the master suite features a Velux window and hillside views, whilst the twin bedroom is equally as impressive, coordinated with thoughtful decor.

A classic shower room and bathroom complete the interior.

The destination has a very rural feel, dotted with sheep and dairy farms, and is also on the beautiful Ring of Kerry route.

Killarney is within easy reach, with its many attractions and summer festivals, while further afield you can enjoy the scenic attractions of Kerry and West Cork.

Dingle is also well worth a visit, renowned for its lovely beaches.
